What is PSYCH-K®?
Sometimes life can feel as if you're swimming against the current. And you know what? You most likely are. Swimming against the current of your limiting subconscious beliefs, that is.
PSYCH-K® is a set of simple and effective tools to reprogram the subconscious mind with positive, supportive beliefs. It's a way to turn the tide, and get where you want to go in life a lot quicker and easier!
What are limiting beliefs?
Your beliefs act as the filter through which you perceive reality, and create your experience.
The subconscious mind is where our beliefs, attitudes and values are stored. Neuroscience has shown that 95% of our behaviour is driven by our subconscious mind, which means that we are only consciously aware of 5% of our actions!
Our subconscious beliefs are formed from past experiences, mostly during the first 7 years of life, from observing the people around us such as parents, siblings and the community. This allows children to learn the complex rules necessary to survive and become functioning members of their family and society.
Problems arise, however, when we grow up and the beliefs that were originally keeping us safe are no longer needed and become self-limiting, or worse, self-sabotaging.

I am worthless/not important
I will never amount to anything
I am terrible with money
I’m not good/smart/beautiful enough
I always get burned in relationships
I always get sick

How does it work?
According to Brain Dominance Theory, the two sides of the cerebral cortex specialise in processing different kinds of information, and deal with different types of problems. Most people are familiar with the concept that the left side of the brain is more logical and ordered, and that the right side is more creative, emotional and spontaneous.
Emotionally charged or stressful situations can result in reduced communication between the two sides of the brain, and a dominance of one side over the other.
PSYCH-K® Balances result in a Whole-Brain State (both hemispheres of the cerebral cortex working together), which allows you to respond to any situation with the full potential of your mind and cognitive ability. This Whole Brain State is also the key to re-writing and replacing self-limiting beliefs with self-supporting beliefs.
What happens in a PSYCH-K® session?
Sessions begin with the identification and clarification of goals. We then use muscle testing to communicate with the subconscious mind and go through permission protocols to check that Balancing for your desired goal is in your best interest and is safe and appropriate at this time. We then complete one of several PSYCH-K® Balances to create a Whole-Brain State with respect to the desired goal.
Muscle testing is used to verify that the new belief has been created, and then we celebrate the change! Dependent on time, the process is repeated for any additional goals.
Before the end of the session an action plan is formulated to turn the new potential into tangible results.
How do online sessions work?
Online sessions are structured in the same way as in-person sessions, with the only difference being in the way we do muscle testing. For these sessions a technique called surrogation is used, where the Facilitator uses self-muscle testing on your behalf.
Surrogation can be explained by the principles of quantum physics and entanglement. Although I've never studied quantum physics, I understand it to mean that we are all connected, and our physical states are just one representation, or perception, of reality. Matter exists in both particle (physical) and wave (energy) form, and through intention and permission protocols we can create a link between our energies/consciousnesses.
The PSYCH-K® permission protocols ensure that it is safe and appropriate for both parties for surrogation to be established. We can also use surrogation to work with friends, colleagues or loved ones who are unable to have their own sessions, or even pets!
How long are sessions?
We recommend 90 mins for an initial in-person session to allow time to discuss and clarify goals and establish communication with the subconscious via muscle testing.
Less time is typically needed for online and subsequent in-person sessions due to familiarity with the process and 60 mins is recommended, but is dependent on individual preferences and goals. In some cases subsequent sessions are not even necessary.
Can PSYCH-K® heal or cure physical or medical conditions?
The PSYCH-K® process is strictly limited to the modification of beliefs. When used for health and wellbeing purposes, the aim is to engage the mind/body’s natural self-healing processes in order to complement, not replace, medical treatment and care by qualified medical practitioners. PSYCH-K® is not designed to diagnose medical conditions or to treat, heal, or cure any disease, illness, physical disability, medical problem or mental illness.
That being said, there is a well-established biological interaction between the mind and the body. The PSYCH-K® approach is about transforming any limiting sub-conscious beliefs you may have that could be related to your condition and influencing your health and wellbeing.
